Contract Changes Coming in 2025 for Tricare West
TriWest Healthcare Alliance is set to take over the administration of the Tricare West Region contract from Health Net Federal Services, LLC (HNFS) starting January 1, 2025. This transition marks a significant shift in the management of healthcare services for military members, their families, and retirees in the Western region. TriWest, known for its administration of the VA’s Community Care Network (CCN) focused on veterans, will now extend its expertise to the Tricare West contract.
The forthcoming change in contractors has stirred a mix of anticipation and questions within the healthcare provider community. KCPM is stepping in to assist our providers during this transition period. For providers currently working under the Tricare West network, KCPM is actively facilitating the move from HNFS to TriWest. We are in receipt of new contracts from TriWest and are actively engaged in ensuring a seamless transition for all parties involved.
In addition, KCPM is offering support to healthcare providers who are not yet contracted with TriWest or Tricare West. They are equipped to aid in the application process for these providers to become part of the in-network panel for these plans. This proactive approach demonstrates KCPM’s commitment to ensuring continuity of care and accessibility for the clients of our providers to healthcare services under the Tricare West arrangement.
As the healthcare landscape undergoes this transition, it is crucial for providers to stay informed and engaged in the process. TriWest’s assumption of the Tricare West Region contract heralds a new chapter in healthcare delivery for this military demographic, promising enhanced services and continuity of care for beneficiaries. With the support of entities like KCPM, providers can navigate the changes smoothly and continue delivering quality care to those who have served our country.
